    I just started the 10 day cleanse. What are your thoughts about oatmeal for breakfast?

      Oatmeal is allowable per the instruction sheet, but I personally have better results with hard boiled eggs in addition to the fruit midmorning.

    I am officially over with the 10-day cleanse tomorrow, but continue with the 24-day Challenge. Can I slowly introduce my body to minimal whole grain pasta, dairy products, coffee? Plus I got the portion control jotted down pretty well at this point.

      @Debrah,
      Stick with Spark, and you shouldn’t need coffee. Use brown rice instead of the pasta for best results. What dairy?

    I’m on day 16 and I haven’t been hungry for dinner and sometimes not for lunch so I usually just get 1 real meal. What is something good to eat if I am not hungry during meal time??

      Strange that you are not hungry. Try hard boiled eggs, grilled chicken and some veggies. Look at the recipe section to see if something interests. you.

    I am on day 1 of the cleanse and was looking for recommendations for a preworkout snack. I am at the gym at 5am. Are protein bars ok (30g of protein/ 270 cal)?

      @Jennifer,
      No protein bars now. You can use Advocare Meal Replacement and other bars after the 24 Day Challenge. We like hard boiled eggs with or without fruit. After the cleanse, you will have meal replacement shakes which will be great before or after your workout. Vanilla with frozen peaches in the magic bullet is my FAVE!

    I am on Day 2 of the cleanse. I am finding myself hungry more than before. For lunch, I had a serving of baked salmon, asparagus, spinach, and cucumbers with a bottle of water. About forty minutes after, I was hungry. I snacked on about five bite-size Quaker rice cakes. Is feeling hungry often unusual?

      @ Debrah,
      Try drinking more water. Are you drinking Spark? That is not usual with the hunger. Did you have your breakfast/snack in the morning? If so, what did you eat?

        I had a Spark early in the morning…before the fiber and meal replacement. That was my breakfast. Mid-morning snack was a couple of bite-size rice cakes with water in between meals. Am I suppose to have a breakfast meal? I thought the meal replacement was my breakfast. I also had a Spark about 2 hours after lunch…needed an energy boost.

          Look at these directions. You are missing the fruit, hard boiled eggs. Try these instead of the rice cakes – hard boiled eggs, 100 calorie bag of raw almonds.

      Try adding either more veggies or a little brown rice or quinoa to get some more fiber. The balance of healthy fats, protein, and fiber from veggies and whole grains will help keep you full longer. Since you reached for the rice cakes, those complex carbs are what your body may be missing. Also the fruit, eggs, and almond is a great suggestion and so much more substantial than the rice cakes!

    I noticed in an early post from you that “your group” does NOT use the meal replacement shake until phase two however, the directions for the 24 day challenge on days one through 10 suggest that you drink that for breakfast?? I’m confused :-/ also, I’m on day 6 of the cleanse and instead of my energy going higher, I’m dragging…is this normal and will it spike back up where it needs to be?

    I’m just curious about one thing. If the cleanse is about clean eating and getting rid of the crap in our diets, why is Walden Farms dressing suggested as an option? The ingredient list on bottles read like a chemistry lab. Small amounts of oil with vinegar or lemon juice would be a much better choice I would think.

      You are correct. That is what we recommend first. Some people balk at that and WF is a 2nd option that is made of mostly vinegar and water.

    This is a strange question but since my freezer is full of it I need to ask.. I am a country girl and we eat alot of venison. It is very lean. The burger we use has little fat. Is this ok to use after the cleanse? I am an avid Atkins dieter and the eating habbits with Advocare are very similiar.

      Glad you got results, but the purpose of the cleanse and elimination of certain items is to break negative food habits and addictions (chocolate, beer, bread, etc), & allow for a new beginning with normalized taste buds. The program keeps carbohydrates in check, which keeps insulin levels low, which minimizes fat storage and encourages your body to properly burn fat.

        If I completely stayed away from minimal wheat bread, do you think the results would have been better? I’m just curious so I know exactly what i’m doing the next time i do the cleanse in about 3-4 months. This was a bit of a trial run for me, to try something new to help me get over my hump and it worked! I also feel more energized during my workouts.
