Be Prepared

One of the biggest challenges we face is being confronted with poor food choices without options. Like a good boyscout ( or girlscout)we should always be prepared.
I have the following things in my car so that they are there when I need them:
- Meal Replacement Bars
- 100 Calorie bags of raw almonds
- Spark to go sticks
- Bottled Water
I have a similar stash at work. Most of those items get packed in my suitcase and/or carry-on bag when traveling, but get the water after the security checkpoint.
When traveling, if I know I am going to be confronted with only fast food, I will take along hard boiled eggs, veggies and fruit.
The worst case is when you have to go to business(or other) luncheon or dinner where you are confronted with what I like to call the “white meal”. A recent white meal at an event that I had to attend was a classic. Breaded and fried chicken smothered in white sauce was the main course. It was served with mashed white potatoes and cauliflower with cheese sauce. Frosted vanilla cake with vanilla ice cream was the dessert. There was no other choice. What did I do? I ate the salad with no dressing and asked the waiter to bring me another salad while the main course was served. You already know that it was Caesar dressing to go with the rest of the white meal! Thank goodness the dressing was not already on the salad. Right after the meal, I was able to grab a meal replacement bar and some almonds from my stash.

I was wanting to make mashed cauliflower. I found a recipe that calls for you to add 1/4 cup soy or almond milk. Is this allowed on the cleanse/challenge? If not do you have a recipe for it? THANKS!

@ Leann,
For the cleanse best to avoid any milk. You can mash cauliflower and season with spices.

Do you suggest shakes for first phase? (Day 1-10)

@ Michelle,
Our team does not use the shakes until Phase II since we are eliminating dairy during the cleanse.
